Earth Day Planting Party (Ages 6-10)
Event Description: Join Ms. Joella and the Hollis Recreation Department in Little Nichols' Field to pot plants for Earth Day! Learn about bees, safely explore a hive, and learn why specific flowers are planted for pollination. Then, decorate a pot and plant a pollinator plant to take home at the end of the program. All materials will be provided. Attendees can also help plant the planters next to the playground! In the event of poor weather, this program will be held in the Library's Meeting Room. Who Can Attend: The event is for children ages 6-10. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration Details: Register only the child (or children) attending. Space is limited, so be sure to register early to secure a spot! Please notify the Library immediately if you are unable to attend an event. Space is limited for some events and there may be a wait list. When Can I Register? Registration is open. Location: Hollis Social Library – Little Nichols Field Additional Information: Participants should wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirt on. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will notify registrants via email. All Library events are free.
