Please join us for this five-part series covering first aid, fire safety, disaster preparedness, trauma medicine and more. Part one will cover situational awareness and scene safety. How should you react when you are the first responder to an accident at home or on the road? You'll learn how to initiate the chain of survival, what is important (and what's not) to communicate to 911, patient assessment, and how to be the help until help arrives. Families encouraged to register and attend together. Instructor John Watkins is certified by the American College of Surgeons and the DoD. He is a certified ALERRT and CRASE instructor. He is also FEMA Train the Trainer certified for Disaster Preparedness and the FEMA course Until Help Arrives. Additionally he is an American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider and instructor and a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care teacher. Patrick Morrison - Retired Fire Chief from NJ. FEMA instructor. Certified ALERRT and Stop the bleed instructor (American College of Surgeons). Karen Scott - AEMT plus AEMT instructor. Currently the New Hampshire state coordinator for Emergency Medical Personnel training. Dave Elliott -Former Army Major, Former Nashua PD training officer and swat team leader.
