Friday, May 8, 2026
12:30 PM3:15 PM

Join us for a guided tour of Roger Ebert's seminal films led by Mark Holding. Attendees of the first meeting will select the nine films to view from the second volume of Roger Ebert's The Great Movies (2006). Each week you will view a film with a brief introduction and a post-screening discussion of the film and the talking points in Ebert's essay for that title. Ebert's goal was to provide "a tour of the landmarks of the first century of cinema." Mark's Film Forum will use post film, large group discussions to foster greater understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of film. Mark Holding has been teaching film studies for thirty-five years. Most recently Mark has taught film for the Keene State College CALL program, along with hosting film clubs at the Peterborough Community Theatre, the Peterborough Town Library, and Covenant Living of Keene. Registration is appreciated. When you register for one you will be registered for the whole series. This does not obligate you to attend all films.
