Write Now: Writing Group (Ages 18 )

Event Description: Write Now is a peer-to-peer fiction writing group for adults (18 ), meeting at the Hollis Social Library on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30pm–7:30pm. (Write Now is not a class and has no instructor.) Meetings include conversation about the writer’s journey and craft, along with dedicated writing time for each writer to develop their own work of fiction over time without pressure or deadlines. Suggested podcast: Creative Fiction Writing, hosted by Savannah Gilbo — Episode #88. Writing exercise: For this month’s exercise, writers will introduce another character connected to the one they created at the March meeting— a friend, rival, family member, stranger, or anyone who enters their world. Writers are welcome to explore character profiles through any resource of their choice, including those available at the Hollis Library. Who will your character meet on the next page?
