Books Unbanned: Banned Book Scavenger Hunt

Get to know a variety of commonly banned and challenged books through an interactive Banned Book Scavenger Hunt! Search the library for the hidden book lockers, retrieve the books inside, and see if you can match them to the correct spot within the big banned book locker! Pizza will be provided after the scavenger hunt. This program is one session in a spring season of library advocacy with our 5-week Books Unbanned program series. We will explore the topics of censorship and the reasons behind book challenges, library advocacy, and a variety of the most commonly banned and challenged books. Due to the sensitive nature of some of this content, this program is recommended for teens and young adults, 13 - 21. Parents/guardians are welcome but not required.
