Join us for a fun adult crafternoon on Monday, September 21 at 1 pm with Elizabeth Springett from Woven Seas Weaving Studio. Elizabeth will show us how to set up a mini loom and how to create a beautiful mini patterned tapestry. All supplies will be provided. Please note: this is a 3 hour workshop. No artistic experience required - this is just for fun! Free and open to adults. About our Instructor Elizabeth Springett earned her BFA in Textile Design, with a concentration in hand weaving, from Southeastern Massachusetts University. She began her career in New York City, weaving samples for the apparel industry, and advanced to the role of Design Director for domestic textile mills. After ten years in the industry and the arrival of two children, she returned to Rhode Island and transitioned into designing for the home textiles market. In 2016, Elizabeth founded Woven Seas Weaving Studio, where she combines her passion for textile arts with education and community engagement. Through the studio, she teaches weaving, mentors aspiring fiber artists, and designs and creates distinctive handwoven textiles. Her work reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, creativity, and the preservation of traditional weaving traditions while fostering a vibrant community of makers.
