Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of LocalNH at localnh.com (the “Service”), operated by Northstar Labs (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using LocalNH you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. The Service

LocalNH is a hyperlocal discovery platform for New Hampshire, aggregating events, town guides, and business listings from published third-party sources and community submissions. The site is provided free of charge and on an “as-is” basis.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent event or business information
• Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-copy the Service without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to admin features or user accounts
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service (abuse of submission forms, DDoS, spam)
• Use LocalNH to promote illegal activity or to impersonate another person or business

We may remove content or restrict access at our discretion when these rules are violated.

3. User Submissions

When you submit an event, suggest a business, or send feedback:

• You confirm you have the right to share the information and that the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You grant LocalNH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, display, edit for clarity, and distribute the submission on the Service and in our newsletters and social channels.
• We moderate submissions and may decline or edit them for accuracy, formatting, or fit with the site.
• If you later want a submission removed, email hello@localnh.com and we'll take it down within a reasonable time.

4. Third-Party Event & Business Data

A substantial portion of LocalNH's content is aggregated from public third-party sources (Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, published iCal feeds, Google Business listings, and similar). This aggregated content belongs to its original publishers. We display it for discovery purposes under fair use and public-information principles, and we link back to the original source where available. If you represent an event or business and want your listing updated, corrected, or removed, email hello@localnh.com.

5. Intellectual Property

LocalNH's editorial content, design, code, logo, brand, and the LocalNH-authored town guides are owned by Northstar Labs. You may link to LocalNH pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish, scrape, or commercially redistribute LocalNH editorial content without written permission.

6. Accuracy Disclaimer

LocalNH strives to keep event listings and business information accurate, but we can't guarantee it. Event dates, times, and venues change; businesses open, close, and move. Always confirm directly with the event organizer or business before making plans, driving somewhere, or paying for anything. LocalNH is not responsible for cancelled events, changed hours, or incorrect third-party information.

7. Advertising & Sponsored Content

LocalNH may display advertisements or sponsored listings (clearly labeled as such). Advertisers are responsible for the content of their own ads. LocalNH does not endorse every advertised product or service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalNH and Northstar Labs are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of the Service, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocalNH, Northstar Labs, and its contributors from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your submissions, or your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always live at this URL, and the “Last updated” date will change. Your continued use of LocalNH after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
