AI For Real Life

Monday, October 19, 2026
10:30 AM — 12:00 PM

AI for Real Life — Practical Tools, Online Safety, and Daily Living. A friendly, hands-on workshop with Michael Berman. Learn simple ways to use AI on your phone (talk instead of type, snap a photo and ask), spot scams and fake pictures, and try everyday helpers for health questions, letters, travel ideas, and more. No tech degree needed. All skill levels welcome — bring your smartphone and your questions. Michael W.G. Berman is the founder and CEO of Data Specialists Group LLC in Portsmouth, NH, which builds consumer safety technology, including DateGuard, an online dating safety service. He created AI for Real Life, a hands-on workshop that teaches older adults and veterans how to use everyday AI tools with confidence and how to spot the scams that come with them, including fake voices, phishing, and too-good-to-be-true offers. Michael has led the program at the Portsmouth, Stratham, and Dover senior centers. He writes about reinvention later in life in his column for BabyBoomer.org and on his Substack, 3rd Act Productions. He wrote The Courage of Reinvention and Choose Not to Be Left Behind, and Authority Magazine interviewed him in 2026. His sessions are practical and judgment-free, built for people who'd rather learn by doing than sit through a lecture.
