An Evening at Rauner Library: In Which Pooh Turns One Hundred

Join Research and Learning Specialist, Rachel Starr, at Rauner Library for a hands-on evening diving into the Hundred Acre Wood. Attendees will have a chance to view first editions of Winnie-the-Pooh in Dartmouth's Special Collection Library and learn about early influences of A.A. Milne, his life and career. This event is in collaboration with the Dartmouth Libraries and paired with the current exhibit on display in the Class of 1965 Galleries, In Which Pooh Turns 100. On display from September 14th - December 4th, 2026. Ages 10 : Children are welcome to participate when registered and accompanied by an adult. Children must have an adult registered and present for the duration of the event. Registration is required and limited for this in-person event. Please register below. This event takes place at Rauner Special Collections Library, located on the corner of Wentworth and College Street, Hanover, NH. Please be prompt in arriving as the doors to the library will be locked and staff will be available to let attendees enter. She joined Dartmouth Libraries in 2023 and provides support to the Research & Learning, Teaching & Learning, and Scholarly Communication, Copyright & Publishing teams. Rachel has a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, as well as an M.A. in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College and an A.B. in English and French from Brown University.
