Author Visit - Michael Skinner
Michael Skinner will visit the library on Thursday, September 17 to discuss his his book The Lunchbox Theory: Lessons Learned from Trauma and Abuse which is a deeply personal memoir that confronts the devastating impact of childhood abuse, including being sexually trafficked. Written in a voice that is both raw and compassionate, Michael recounts his journey from successful musician, agent, and father to a man unraveling from the weight of long-buried abuse. More than a personal narrative, it is a call to action for trauma-informed awareness for professionals and a message of compassion for all. The presentation will include a short reading, music woven throughout, conversation and questions. This event is best suited for adults. Michael will also sell his book and sign copies during the event.
