Barrington 250 Time Capsule Information & Drop-Off Table

Help create the Barrington 250 Time Capsule! In honor of America’s 250 anniversary, contribute objects to help future town residents understand who we were, what we valued, and how we lived in 2026. About the Project: Barrington High School students are leading this effort in conjunction with Barrington 250, our town’s events honoring the U.S. Semiquincentennial. All Barrington residents are invited to contribute objects. Objects should be no larger than roughly the size of a mobile phone. Thin items (such as paper or photos) may be larger. The Town of Barrington/Barrington 250 Committee will approve and curate the contents of the time capsule. The time capsule will be buried on the Town Hall grounds. All are invited to attend the time capsule dedication ceremony on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The time capsule will be opened on the nation’s Tricentennial in 2076. How it Works: Each household/organization is limited to 1 submission To contribute an object, visit tinyurl.com/town250 to review guidelines and complete the submission form.
