Join Doug on Wednesdays at 1 pm this October for his Between Fantasy & Reality Film Lecture Series. Step into worlds where the ordinary gives way to the extraordinary in this four-week film lecture series exploring magic, miracles, ghosts, and the supernatural in cinema. Each film will be preceded by a short film lecture by Doug. Free and open to all. Registration recommended. October 14 - Field of Dreams (1989) Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) hears a voice telling him to build a baseball diamond in his cornfield. He believes that if he does so, Shoeless Joe Jackson from the infamous 1919 Chicago "Black" Sox will return to play baseball.
