Hooksett's Grand Hotel: The Riverside Inn

Join the Hooksett Historical Society for a look back at Hooksett’s famed Riverside Inn. Built in 1909 by William Hurd on the former site of the Ayer House, directly across from Robie’s Store, the inn was a bustling hub for tourists drawn to the Merrimack River, the Pinnacle Tower, and the journey up to the White Mountains. Celebrated as the most modern hotel of in the area, it offered rare luxuries like elegant decor, in-suite bathrooms, and telephone access. Discover the story, photos, and legacy of this remarkable landmark before its tragic destruction by fire in April 1917.
