Ikebana(ish): Arrange Flowers Influenced by Traditional Japanese Style
Thursday, June 4, 2026
6:00 PM — 7:30 PM
This program will be presented by Katie Montgomery, a professional florist with extensive experience creating flower arrangements for weddings, parties, individuals, and other events. Katie will begin the program by doing a demonstration highlighting the use of negative space, honoring the natural habit and properties of the materials, and focusing on texture, asymmetry, and contrast. Participants will then be invited to compose their own arrangements to take home. All supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring flowers from your own garden if you want to experiment with them with guidance.
