Join us for this beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop introducing Onshape, a powerful, modern computer-aided design (CAD) platform that runs entirely in your web browser. Guided by student volunteer Benjamin—a Barrington High School student with a deep passion for technology and computer science—this class will teach you the core building blocks of creating 3D models from scratch. In this relaxed, step-by-step session, you will learn how to: Navigate the Onshape interface and cloud workspace. Create basic 2D sketches using lines, circles, and dimensions. Extrude and revolve sketches into solid 3D shapes. Modify features using tools like fillets and chamfers to smooth your design. Who is this for? Adults who are complete beginners! If you have zero experience with CAD or 3D modeling but are curious about how digital objects are built, this class is the perfect place to start. This class is created and instructed by student volunteer Benjamin. Benjamin is a student at Barrington High School who has a strong passion for technology and Computer Science. He has recently started volunteering at the library, where He assists others with technology-related matters and teaches classes, sharing his enthusiasm for assisting anyone in need of support and technology.
