The Secret Language of Flowers with the Milford Garden Club
Wednesday, November 4, 2026
6:30 PM — 8:00 PM
with presenter Sandra Morgan The Victorian language of flowers - also called floriography - emerged as a clandestine method of communication at a time when proper etiquette discouraged open and flagrant displays of emotion. Flower meanings were taken from literature, mythology, religion, and even the shapes of the flowers themselves. Sponsored by the Milford Garden Club, learn the history of floriography and come away with a new look at flowers and herbs.
