Jim Lenn will take you on an inside look at four young men and their five year journey to “make it” in the music industry at it's peak all around them in Hawthorne California (Yes, the home of the Beach Boys) – It was the best place and the best time during the rise of the pop music industry - Jim will not only share the experience with their stories, but also perform some of the music of that era as well – So come get a feel of what it was like as you hear about the “Rise & Fall of Dovie Modean” and join in to sing along to some great songs of that amazing era - Jim Lenn grew up in Southern California and started playing music at the age of 8. He was actively involved in the South Bay music scene until his relocation to the East Coast in 2000. Wasting no time after the move, Jim played in the local folk/gospel group East of Nashville for six years and then joined the popular country group The Truckstop Troubadours for a two-year stint before starting the New England Ukulele Ensemble. Still performing locally, as a solo performer, he is also the director and one of the founding members of the Kinetic Ukes ukulele performance ensemble based out of Simsbury, Connecticut.
