VIRTUAL: Horror Book Recs with Bestselling Author Sam Rebelein

Tuesday, October 13, 2026
7:30 PM8:00 PM

Not sure what to read next? Join author Sam Rebelein, quarterly, for 30 minutes of pure book recommendations -- the best of horror out there! We'll discuss 6-8 books that Sam loved or is looking forward to and we'll intersperse chat about writing and publishing -- how fun is that? We're sure you'll find something to like from Sam's many enthusiastic reviews. About Sam Rebelein: Sam Rebelein holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College (with a focus on Horror and Memoir), a certificate of graduation from the Lubbock Area Square & Round Dance Federation, and that one trophy in The Last of Us Part II for when you beat the game on permadeath mode. Hard to say which of these is his greatest achievement. Sam lives in Poughkeepsie, NY, where he writes spooky fiction and works as a Professional Tutor in the Writing Center at Dutchess Community College. His debut novel Edenville was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award, and won a Wonderland Book Award for Best Novel. Sam's recent collection of interconnected short fiction, The Poorly Made and Other Things, is set in the same fictional upstate New York county as Edenville; he also has a novel which came out in Fall 2025 called Galloway's Gospel, which is set in the same world.
