Whimsy Foraging
Join us for a morning of Whimsy Foraging where we'll let our curiosity lead the way! We will meet at the Hanover River Trail Head at 10 am, for an hour walk. In that time, notice what calls to you. A mossy stone, an unusual seed pod, a feather, a patch of lichen, the way light falls through a particular leaf, whatever catches your eye, snag it (if it's yours to take), photograph it, sketch it, or simply hold it in your memory long enough to put it into words. After the hour we will return to the library, meeting in the Garden Room, and take 15-20 minutes to reflect individually. Use this time to write, draw, or meditate on your experience. We'll spend the remaining time sharing what we've come away with! No foraging experience necessary. No artistic skill required. Just a willingness to pay attention and desire to share. Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, and your preferred medium to document with: a phone, a sketchbook, a notebook, a camera. Some paper supplies will be available to use. Hanover River Trail Head, 106 S Main St, Hanover, NH 03755 - The trail is considered easy and relatively flat with a few narrow sections.
