Depression is a complex and deeply personal experience that affects emotional, mental, and physical well-being. This 90-minute workshop explores depression as a whole body condition that is shaped by an interplay of biological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors. We will explore factors such as brain chemistry, stress, nervous system regulation, sleep, nutrition, movement, gut health, inflammation, relationships, and meaning in life as the root cause of depression. The workshop combines science-based knowledge with holistic perspectives and herbalism to foster greater awareness, compassion, and empowerment. Lior Sadeh is a clinical herbalist who weaves modern, evidence-based knowledge with traditional Western herbalism. As a "retired" farmer with over a decade of experience in herb growing and medicine-making, She has developed an intimate relationship with many of the herbs they use in their practice. I practice root cause herbalism. One phrase that you will often hear her say is, "It's Not what you take; it's what you Do." Lior teaches because she believes that if you understand your body's language, you can: Advocate for your health by asking the right questions when you visit your PCP Make small steps toward a lifestyle better suited for your body while being supported every step of the way.
