Dog days at the library

Virgil loves stories, but dogs can't read! Virgil is a great listener and loves to be read to. He especially likes picture books. Learning to read can be hard work, and Virgil is here to help. Studies have shown that non-corrective reading to animals helps develop positive feelings about reading. We are so happy to have Virgil and his trainer, Susannah come to the library to help your child practice reading. You can share your favorite book or choose from one of the thousands of books available at the library! Registration is required. Each child will have a 10-minute time period to read one-on-one to Virgil and will be assigned a specific time upon arrival. For more information contact: Amy Kraemer at akraemer@keenenh.gov
