Summer Book Sale!
Browse thousands of books including adult fiction and nonfiction, children's, and young adults, as well as CDs, DVDs, and much more at the Friends of the Barrington Library Summer Book Sale! Most items are available for only $1- 2 each. There is also a selection of rare and valuable books for sale. The Summer Book Sale will be held Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, July 12 on the second floor of the library. Please note: Thursday from 5-8 pm is a special Friends Members preview for members of The Friends of the Barrington Library. You can join at the door to get an early look at the book sale. Friday through Sunday is free admission to the general public. Hours for the Summer Book Sale are: Thurs. July 9 5 pm - 8 pm Fri. July 10 10 am - 4 pm Sat. July 11 10 am - 4 pm Sun. July 12 12 pm - 3 pm Cash and credit card are accepted. About the Friends The Friends of Barrington Public Library is a nonprofit organization that supports the Barrington Public Library through fundraising and membership. Founded in 1980, the Friends is a group of hundreds of library lovers in Barrington and nearby communities. Funds from the Summer Book Sale, Fall Book Sale, and Daily Book Sale support 80% of our library programming! The Friends also support the library through: Film Lecture Series with Doug Swiszcz Express Books, e-books, and downloadable audiobooks-no waiting for the new and most popular titles! Peep Diorama contest Book Pages Films and Documentaries Technology Museum Pass Program which includes the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Gamm Theatre (discount tickets), Museum of Science, and much more!
