Summer Cookbook Club - Book Discussion

Tuesday, July 14, 2026
6:00 PM7:00 PM

Adults are invited to join us for the Summer Session of cookbook club! This group will meet twice for the Summer Session on Tuesday, July 14 at 6 pm for our cookbook discussion and again on Tuesday, July 28 at 6 pm for our potluck dinner. Both meetings will take place in the Collis Family Gallery on the second floor of the library. In our first meeting, we will discuss the author, book introduction, layout, and recipe map, and then set the menu for the next meeting and decide who will bring what. Then for our second meeting, everyone will make a dish at home, and bring it to our potluck dinner. You must attend BOTH sessions! When you register below you are signing up for both days - July 14 and July 28. The book for Summer 2026 is Everyday Dorie by Dorie Greenspan. Once you register, you can pick up a copy of the book at the Circulation Desk. We are limited on copies of this book so if you are able to share with a friend that would be great! You can also purchase the book yourself if you wish. Please have your book ready for the Tuesday, July 14 meeting. You will be expected to have read the introduction as well as at least skimmed through the rest of the book. It would be helpful if you also had a general idea of which dish(es) you would like to make. Free and open to adults. Group Guidelines: If you register you are committing to attending both dates in the Summer session (July 14 and July 28). You must attend the cookbook discussion on July 14 in order to attend the potluck on July 28. You must be willing to cook at least one dish and bring enough for 12-16 people to have a taste of each dish. Please clearly mark any allergens (eggs, gluten, milk, etc) on your dish card (handed out on July 14). Bring completed cookbook review form with you to the potluck on July 28.
