Summer Film Lecture Series: Stand By Me

Join Doug and Siobhan on select Wednesdays at 1 pm from June through August for our Summer Film Lecture Series! Escape the heat in our air-conditioned Salem Family Auditorium and enjoy a classic movie. Each movie will be preceded by a short film lecture given by either Doug or Siobhan. Free and open to all. Registration recommended. July 15 - Stand By Me (1986) After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, Gordie Lachance, Vern Tessio, Chris Chambers and Teddy Duchamp encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives.
