Summer StoryWalk at Eisenhower Park
For children and their families. Come visit Children’s Department staff at the StoryWalk at Eisenhower Park (located behind the pickleball courts) and view the new title, The Couch Potato by Jory John, illustrated by Pete Oswald. The Couch Potato has everything within reach and doesn’t have to move from the sunken couch cushion. But when the electricity goes out, the Couch Potato is forced to peel away from the comforts of the living room and venture outside. Could fresh air and sunshine possibly be better than the views on-screen? Readers of all ages will laugh along as their new best spuddy learns that balancing screen time and playtime is the root to true happiness. Create your own painted “couch potato” rock to bring with you on the walk! While supplies last. StoryWalk promotes early literacy, physical activity, and family time together in nature. This program is weather dependent. Please check the Children’s event calendar at milford-pl.libcal.com for updates by 9:30am on the day of the event.
