Unsolved New England Murder Mystery: The Smuttynose Island Axe Murders

Kim Fallon, retired Chief Forensic Investigator at the NH Office of Chief Medical Examiner, shares the details of the infamous Smuttynose Island axe murders of 1873 in nearby Kittery, Maine. Although there are several theories and even a conviction, these grisly murders remain one of New England's notorious unsolved murder mysteries. Kim will also give a brief history of the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's office since it was founded in 1986.
