Wild Scientists Book Club (Ages 8 - 10) - Wild Heroes Edition
Join Harris Center naturalists Jaime Hutchinson and Susie Spikol for our monthly Wild Scientists Book Club, where we will read stories about scientists, naturalists, and everyday citizens who made a difference for the wildlife in their communities and beyond. After discussing the books, we will develop and practice our own observation, writing, and art skills using nature as our inspiration. This month's book is Magic in a Drop of Water: How Ruth Patrick Taught the World about Water Pollution by Julie Winterbottom. Join us for this hands-on, pen-to-paper, paint-to-brush, and eyes-on nature exploration! Books will be available for check out approximately one month before the book club meeting. Read at home and join us for a wild time! Registration is required. Ages 8 - 10 only.
